The Pembrokeshire County Show, to be held on Tuesday, 19 to Thursday, 21st August inclusive, is one of the largest agricultural county shows in Wales, welcoming nearly 100,000 people to the showground each year.
The show attracts competitors from throughout the UK in classes for livestock including pigs, cattle, sheep, and goats; horses; dogs and poultry. There are also craft, photography, cookery and horticulture competitions and displays and over 500 trade stands selling everything from huge agricultural machinery and cars to handmade crafts, food, clothes, shoes, toys, household goods, flowers and furniture.
Entertainment will include, amongst other things, displays from The Imps Motorcycle Display Team, Harness Racing, Dog Agility, cookery demonstrations, helicopter rides, gundog displays, pole climbing and a funfair. You will also be able to sample Pembrokeshire’s finest produce in the food hall.
Pembrokeshire is still predominantly a farming county and the show is an important celebration of farming; an opportunity for farmers to show off their prize livestock and at the same time a chance for others from non farming backgrounds to get a glimpse of agricultural life whilst enjoying a wonderful day out.
