A tiny Narberth bistro, opened five years ago by two sisters, has won the prestigious “Café Bistro of the Year Award for West Wales” at the Food Awards Wales.
PlumVanilla owners, Plum and Vanilla Harrison, were presented with the award at a ceremony in Cardiff. They beat off competition from a shortlist of establishments including ones from Swansea, Mumbles, Carmarthen, Southgate and Llanddona.
Voted for by the Welsh public, The Food Awards are designed to recognise the efforts of Wales Restaurants, Takeaways, Gastro Pubs, Hotel Restaurants, Cafes and Bistros, as well as shine the spotlight on the wonderful local producers who provide their delicious ingredients.
On their website the sisters say “PlumVanilla: created by us, to be enjoyed by everyone. Delicious, zingy, flavoursome food, cooked by Plum and served by Vanilla in a colourful, informal, fun and funky environment.”
