Narberth’s three AA rosette restaurant, The Grove, has pulled off a tremendous coup by appointing Allister Barsby as its new Executive Chef. Allister will be joining The Grove in January from Michael Caines’ famous restaurant, Gidleigh Park in Devon, where he has been head chef for the past three years.
Gidleigh Park is arguable one of the top hotel restaurants in the UK and has held two Michelin stars for 15 years. Allister was part of the team there for 8 of those years.
Allister’s new team at The Grove will include Head Chef Peter Whaley who joined The Grove two years ago from Heston Blumenthal’s famous restaurant, The Fat Duck in Bray.
The Grove recently won the Hotel of the Year for Wales award from the Good Hotel Guide as well as four AA Red Stars whilst its sister restaurant, Coast at Coppet Hall near Saundersfoot, won AA Restaurant of the Year for Wales 2015.
If you would like to sample the exquisite food served at either The Grove or Coast whilst exploring Pembrokeshire, Pembrokeshire Farm B&B is ideally located, close to both restaurants. If you are looking for a peaceful B&B where you feel as though you are staying with friends in the country as opposed to at a commercial Bed and Breakfast, Pembrokeshire Farm B&B is the place for you. Relax and have tea and homemade cake in front of a roaring log fire after a walk on the beach in Winter or in the gorgeous garden in Summer. We specialise in home made, home grown and top quality local produce and, with prior notice, are happy to cater for gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian or vegan diets.
