Barafundle Bay in Pembrokeshire is amongst the UK top 10 of the Travellers’ Choice Awards for Beaches – announced by TripAdvisor. It is one of 3 Welsh beaches named in the Top 10.
The remote, white sand, beach which is accessed by following the coast path for half a mile across the cliffs from Stackpole Quay is no stranger to awards, however. Last year it was included in a list of the top 25 beaches across the globe, beating Sydney’s Bondi and the iconic Copacabana in Rio, by Passport Magazine – an online magazine which covers travel, culture, style and adventure.
Barafundle has also been voted the best place in the UK to have a picnic numerous times; winning the overall award for the UK in National Picnic Week in 2014 as well as, amongst others, awards from Visit Britain, Country Life Magazine and Conde Naste Traveller.
