Your Hosts – Rayner & Carol Peett
Carol’s family are one of the oldest in Pembrokeshire and Caermaenau Fawr was her childhood home.
She and Rayner met in London where he worked in PR and his immediate reaction, when visiting Carol’s family in Pembrokeshire for the first time was “what on earth are we doing living in London?”
With Rayner having fallen under Pembrokeshire’s spell, they left the City in 2004, married with their reception being held at Caermaenau Fawr, and set up the West Wales office of property search company, West Wales Property Finders; finding people their perfect homes. Since then, the company has gone from strength to strength, winning a number of Awards including Best International Property Finder.
They inherited Caermaenau Fawr in the Summer of 2011, camping there whilst undertaking a complete renovation of the house which was finally completed in 2013. They share the house with their Labradors Snipe and Plover and with Juniper who, along with their three donkeys and a one legged, one eyed chicken, came with the house.
Rayner and Carol enjoy relaxed, informal country living and like their guests to feel at home. During your stay you may opt to sit and have tea in the garden, relax and watch television in front of an open fire in the drawing room or enjoy a delicious home cooked supper.
