Coast Restaurant
Will Holland, of Pembrokeshire’s fabulous Coast Restaurant, has been shortlisted, along with two others, Steve Groves of Roux at Parliament Square and Allan Pickett of Piquet, as The Craft Guild of Chefs Awards 2016 Restaurant Chef of the Year.
Coast, on the beach at Coppet Hall near Saundersfoot, has just celebrated its second birthday and, in that short period, has won many accolades including being named the AA Restaurant of the Year in Wales 2015-16 whilst Conde Naste Traveller magazine listed it in the top 5 seafood restaurants in the UK.
Pembrokeshire is rapidly becoming known as a foodie destination with its annual Fish Week and celebrated Narberth Food Festival, now in its 18th year, attracting chefs and visitors from all over the world. Allister Barsby recently joined Coast’s sister restaurant, The Grove at Narberth, as Executive Chef from Michael Caines’ famous restaurant, Gidleigh Park in Devon, where he had been head chef for the past three years. For the more adventurous foodies, Britain’s first Insect Restaurant opened its doors in St Davids in 2015.
